About bronze & your skin

Bronze is a living metal. It can leave a green or dark mark on your skin through a natural process called oxidation. This is the same reaction that turned the Statue of Liberty green over time.

This is completely normal, harmless, and washes off easily with soap and water.

The clear nail polish trick: Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to the inside of your ring. This creates an invisible barrier between the bronze and your skin. Reapply every few weeks as it wears off.

In the heart of ancient Rome, during the reign of Emperor Augustus, there lived a group of brave and dedicated individuals known as the "S.P.Q.R.," which stood for "Senatus Populusque Romanus" or "The Senate and People of Rome." These were not just ordinary citizens; they were the defenders of Rome's honor and the guardians of its people.

One bright morning, as the sun bathed the Colosseum in its golden light, a crisis loomed over the city. A fierce group of barbarian invaders had gathered at the borders, threatening to breach the mighty walls of Rome. The emperor called upon the S.P.Q.R. to protect the eternal city and its citizens.

The members of the S.P.Q.R. were a diverse group, comprising soldiers, senators, scholars, and craftsmen. They understood that their strength lay not only in their swords but in their unity and unwavering dedication to Rome. Led by the wise and charismatic Tribune Gaius Maximus, they rallied their fellow Romans for the defense of their beloved city.

As the barbarian hordes drew near, the S.P.Q.R. devised ingenious strategies, utilizing the city's architecture and its vast network of underground tunnels to outwit their enemies. In a pivotal battle at the Tiber River, they employed their combined skills and military prowess to push back the invaders, turning the tide of the war.

The victory was not just a triumph of strength but a testament to the spirit of Rome. The citizens of the empire united under the banner of the S.P.Q.R., forging a bond that transcended social status and wealth. In the end, they repelled the barbarians and safeguarded the eternal city's glory.

Emperor Augustus, in recognition of their valor and unity, declared the S.P.Q.R. as the true embodiment of Rome's strength and resilience. Their legacy endured for centuries, reminding future generations of the indomitable spirit of Rome.

Today, the acronym S.P.Q.R. still graces Roman monuments and serves as a symbol of Rome's rich history, enduring strength, and the idea that a united people can overcome any challenge, no matter how daunting.
