About bronze & your skin

Bronze is a living metal. It can leave a green or dark mark on your skin through a natural process called oxidation. This is the same reaction that turned the Statue of Liberty green over time.

This is completely normal, harmless, and washes off easily with soap and water.

The clear nail polish trick: Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to the inside of your ring. This creates an invisible barrier between the bronze and your skin. Reapply every few weeks as it wears off.

Legio XXX Ulpia Victrix, known as the "Ulpian Victorious Thirtieth Legion," earned its illustrious name through a series of remarkable victories across the Roman Empire.

One of its most memorable triumphs took place during the Dacian Wars under Emperor Trajan's rule. The Dacian King Decebalus had posed a significant threat to Roman dominance in the region. The cunning Dacian leader had even managed to capture Roman standards, creating a dire embarrassment for the empire.

Determined to restore honor to Rome, Legio XXX Ulpia Victrix embarked on a perilous campaign into Dacia. In a climactic battle, the legion clashed with Decebalus' forces. The Roman soldiers, bolstered by their unwavering determination, fought fiercely.

In the heat of battle, a young soldier named Maximus spotted the Dacian King Decebalus fleeing on horseback, bearing the captured Roman standards. Without a second thought, Maximus, with sheer audacity and bravery, pursued the king.

A fierce chase through the rugged Dacian terrain ensued. Maximus, armed only with a gladius and his unwavering resolve, eventually caught up with Decebalus. In a daring confrontation, he managed to retrieve the stolen standards, securing a pivotal victory for Legio XXX Ulpia Victrix.

The triumphant return of the legion to Rome, standards held high, was celebrated with great fanfare. Emperor Trajan, acknowledging the valor and determination of the soldiers, honored them with the title "Ulpian Victorious." Legio XXX Ulpia Victrix's legacy as a symbol of Roman strength and resilience lives on in history, a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Roman legions.
