About bronze & your skin

Bronze is a living metal. It can leave a green or dark mark on your skin through a natural process called oxidation. This is the same reaction that turned the Statue of Liberty green over time.

This is completely normal, harmless, and washes off easily with soap and water.

The clear nail polish trick: Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to the inside of your ring. This creates an invisible barrier between the bronze and your skin. Reapply every few weeks as it wears off.

In the time of ancient Rome, when the legions stood as the iron fist of the Empire, there was one legion that stood out among the rest—Legio XV Apollinaris, the "Fifteenth Legion of Apollo."

Legio XV Apollinaris earned its unique name and reputation because of its devotion to the god Apollo. They believed that Apollo, the god of music, healing, and prophecy, watched over them on the battlefield, guiding their hands and granting them victory.

The story of this legion began in the heart of Rome, where young recruits from all corners of the Empire gathered to serve. Among them was a talented musician named Lucius, who played the lyre like no other. His melodies were said to be divinely inspired, and his music had the power to heal wounded souls.

As Lucius joined the ranks of Legio XV Apollinaris, his lyre became a symbol of inspiration and hope for his fellow legionnaires. Before every battle, he would play a hauntingly beautiful tune that filled their hearts with courage and resolve.

Their most remarkable campaign took place in the Eastern provinces, where they faced a formidable enemy—a coalition of rebellious tribes seeking to break free from Roman rule. The battles were fierce, and the odds seemed insurmountable, but Legio XV Apollinaris fought with an unwavering faith in their divine protector.

During one particularly dire battle, when the legionnaires were on the brink of defeat, Lucius played a melody that seemed to touch the heavens. Inspired by his music and their unwavering devotion to Apollo, they rallied, and their determination became an unstoppable force. They not only won that battle but went on to achieve a series of victories that quelled the rebellion.

In recognition of their exceptional service, the legion was honored with a new emblem—a lyre intertwined with a laurel wreath, symbolizing the harmony of music and the glory of victory.

Legio XV Apollinaris continued to serve the Empire with dedication and valor, and their story spread far and wide. They were celebrated not only for their military achievements but for the belief that the power of music and divine guidance could lead even the most outnumbered of warriors to triumph.

Today, the legacy of Legio XV Apollinaris endures as a reminder of the profound bond between faith, music, and victory. Their story serves as an inspiration to all who understand that sometimes, in the darkest of hours, the sweetest melodies can bring forth the brightest light.
