About bronze & your skin

Bronze is a living metal. It can leave a green or dark mark on your skin through a natural process called oxidation. This is the same reaction that turned the Statue of Liberty green over time.

This is completely normal, harmless, and washes off easily with soap and water.

The clear nail polish trick: Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to the inside of your ring. This creates an invisible barrier between the bronze and your skin. Reapply every few weeks as it wears off.

Legio III Gallica, known as the "Gaulish Third," was a distinguished Roman legion with a rich history. In its early days, the legion played a pivotal role in expanding Roman rule into the far reaches of Gaul.

Under the leadership of General Gaius, Legio III Gallica was tasked with maintaining control in the Gallic provinces, where fierce tribes fiercely resisted Roman influence. Gaius, a seasoned commander, understood the importance of diplomacy alongside military might.

One day, during negotiations with a Gallic chieftain named Brennus, Gaius noticed a magnificent white stallion by the chief's side. This horse, named Argentum, was not just a symbol of wealth but also a creature of remarkable beauty and strength.

Rather than viewing Argentum as a sign of Brennus' power, Gaius saw an opportunity for common ground. He offered to exchange knowledge about Roman horsemanship for an alliance of peace. Brennus, impressed by Gaius' willingness to learn and share, agreed to the pact.

Over time, Argentum became a symbol of unity between the Romans and the Gauls. The magnificent horse was trained in both Roman and Gallic styles of riding, symbolizing the fusion of cultures in the region.

Legio III Gallica's story reminds us that in the face of adversity, sometimes it takes a willingness to learn, adapt, and find common ground to build bridges between cultures and forge lasting alliances.
